Richard B. Arsenault, 62, of Brunswick, died Dec. 10 at a Brunswick hospital.
He was born in Portland on March 4, 1947, the son of Joachim J. and Anna (Bernard) Arsenault.
He was raised on Peaks Island as a child and attended grade school on the island and graduated from Portland High School in Portland. He entered the U.S. Marines and served during the Vietnam War. After six years in the Marines he returned to Peaks Island where he did many carpentry projects for various people. On May 1, 1993 he married Sandra Condon. They resided on Peaks Island and later moved to Bath and then to Brunswick. He was employed at Wiscasset Ford, Maine Yankee in Wiscasset and most recently for Balflour Beatty doing housing maintenance.
He enjoyed collecting guns and fishing.
He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Olivia Rose Pragana.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Arsenault of Brunswick; son, Danny Pragana II and longtime companion Terrie Russ of Brunswick; niece, Bonnie Engle and husband John of Bath; and four grandchildren, Briana, Danny III, Dylan and Ashleigh.
Visiting hours Dec. 13 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Funeral service Dec. 14 at the funeral home where Pastor Rob Northrop officiated. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors in Bath.
