Richard Ellis Michaud, 78, of Waldoboro, passed away Oct. 5 at his home in Waldoboro.
He was born Aug. 26, 1932 in Portland, a son of the late Archibald and Beverly White Michaud.
In his teen years, he moved to Miami, Fla. and lived there for 48 years. Upon his retirement he moved back to Maine.
Richard was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Damariscotta.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Michaud; and grandson, Devin Beck.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Marylyn Michaud of Waldoboro; son, Michael Michaud of Florida; daughters, Beverly Beck of Idaho, Michelle Crook of Oregon and Mary Wright of Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and half sisters, Arlene Wyman and Sheila Hansen of Portland.
Memorial service 10 a.m., Sat., Oct. 9 at the LDS Church, 61 Belvedere Rd., Damariscotta.
