An informal gathering in memory of Richard G. and Jean N. Harris of Damariscotta, will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., Sept. 29 at Midcoast Friends Meetinghouse, 77 Belvedere Rd., Damariscotta. Richard Harris died on May 26, 2017 at age 85. Jean Harris died on March 20, at age 85. The couple moved to Maine in 1976.
In Maine they pursued wide ranging interests. Richard led hiking groups and Jean continued her painting career. They were regular attendees at Midcoast Friends Meeting. Because Jean did not wish a memorial service, the gathering will be an informal time of sharing memories.
