Richard H. Hanna, 64, of Idaho Springs, Col., formerly of New Harbor, passed away Aug. 14 of kidney disease brought on from diabetes.
Richard was born April 13, 1954 in Damariscotta, son of A. William (Bill) and Natalie (Chatfield) Hanna. He attended Bristol School and graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1972.
He attended Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute (SMVTI) studying culinary arts, a love he discovered early on.
He was employed by several resorts throughout the U.S., finally settling in the Colorado area, where he made several friends he considered family.
Richard is predeceased by his parents.
He leaves behind his brother, David and wife Gail of New Harbor; nephews, Derek and wife Jenna and children Bella, Natalie and Brayden of Damariscotta, and Casey of New Harbor and children Landon and Baylee.
