Richard W. Salewski, 56, of Nobleboro, passed away peacefully at home after a hard-fought battle with cancer, on Dec. 7 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 24, 1958, son of Rexford and Patricia (Stultz) Salewski. He grew up in Gardiner and was a graduate of Gardiner High School and received his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. He opened his law office in Damariscotta in 1991 and was a loved and respected member of the community.
Rick was an avid fan of the Giants and Red Sox and enjoyed fishing and golfing, but some of his favorite times were those spent with family and friends sharing his vast trivia knowledge and many laughs.
He is survived by sons, Derry and Ian of Augusta; daughter, Moira of Portland; brother, Frank of Augusta; sisters, Mary Ellen Abram and husband James of Winter Haven, Fla., Lorraine Matos and husband Teofilo of Gardiner, and Sally Jewell and husband Ken of Jacksonville, Ark.; and cousins, Andrew Vellani of Farmingdale, Stephen Vellani of Hallowell, and Donald Vellani of Gardiner.
Rick will be missed by his family and many good friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2015.
