Robert A. Glover, 36, died unexpectedly and accidentally Jan. 22 in New Bedford, Mass.
He was born Oct. 5, 1971, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of Robert E. Glover and Nancy L. (Elston) Glover.
Robbie resided in the Midwest for several years before moving to E. Holden where he graduated from Brewer High School in 1990. He had been working for many years as a commercial scallop fisherman with Eastern Fisheries in New Bedford, Mass.
He was known for his love for life, love for family, and his sense for adventure, and was a good-hearted caring person who always put the needs of others before his own. His “million dollar smile” would melt your heart.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy L. Verrill and husband Bruce of Exeter, N.H.; father, Robert Glover and wife Cecile of Berlin, N.H.; brother, David Glover and wife Olga of Bangor; sister, Angela Dobson and husband Chris of Naples; maternal grandparents, William and Dora Elston of W. Lafayette, Ind.; stepbrothers, Mark, Dennis, and James and stepsister, Cindy of Milan, N.H.; special aunt and uncle, Kate L. Flanagan of E. Holden and Larry D. Flanagan and wife Brenda of Hampden; nieces and nephews, Maxim, Elizabeth, Addison and Colby (whom he loved dearly); cousins, Michael Flanagan of Colorado, Yvonne Purdy and husband Brad and daughter Kyra of Salem, Mass., Chelsea of York, and Nellie and Luke of Hampden; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend, Tanya Miller of Waldoboro; and the “love of his life” Brittney Taylor of Damariscotta.
He was predeceased by cousin, Bryan Flanagan and paternal grandparents, Elton and Mary Glover.
