Robert E. Edwards, 79, of Westport Island, died peacefully early on the morning of March 2 at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick.
He was the beloved husband of Mildred B. Edwards; devoted father of Steven Robert Edwards and David Richard Edwards; brother of Ann Marie; and loving grandfather of five.
Robert will be laid to rest with a private family service, at the Bethlehem Cemetery, Damariscotta, in the warmth of the spring.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Strong Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
