Robert L. “Sonny” Gove, Jr., 32, of Windsor, died unexpectedly April 15. He was born in Augusta on May 1, 1975, the son of Robert L. Gove, Sr. and Sheila I. (Swift) Gove.
Mr. Gove was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1993.
He had been employed by Augusta Upholstery for 11 years and previously worked for the State of Maine Department of Transportation.
Sonny was an avid snowmobiler, motorcycle enthusiast and sports car lover. He enjoyed four wheeling, fishing and boating. His children were his life.
He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Gove, Sr. and his maternal grandfather, Carroll Swift.
Mr. Gove is survived by his soul mate, Crystal Chick of Windsor; son, Zackary M. Gove; daughter, Felicia Mae Gove, both of Windsor; parents, Robert L. Gove, Sr. and Sheila I. (Swift) Gove; sister, Crissy A. Gove of Windsor; paternal grandmother, Simone Gove of Whitefield; maternal grandmother, Shirley Swift Fish of Farmingdale; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no public visiting hours. Graveside service 11 a.m., Mon., April 21 at Rest Haven Cemetery, Rt. 32, Windsor.
