Robert Neil Hatch, 79, of Northport, died peacefully at his home on May 2.
He was born July 21, 1931 in Knox, the son of the late Robert A. and Lulla M. (Whitcomb) Hatch.
Mr. Hatch worked 32 years at Penobscot Poultry in Belfast and when it closed he went to work for five years at McDonalds. He loved to watch western movies and baseball. He enjoyed playing cards and working with his hands.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Jeanette on Jan. 5, 2010.
Mr. Hatch is survived by sons, Robert Hatch of Swanville, Roy Hatch and wife Laura of Waldoboro, Brian Hatch and wife Debra of New Hampshire and Richard Hatch and wife Amy of Canton; daughter, Lisa Hatch of Belfast; sisters, Mable Willy, Christine Cox, Nora Buck, Olive Harding and Roberta Hussy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life 2-4 p.m., Sat., June 4 at the Randall & Collins VFW Post 3108, 34 Field St., Belfast.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smeltzer Family Cremation & Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
