Robert Panissidi, 63, of Wiscasset, died Aug. 9 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Aug. 4, 1949, a son of Joseph and Annette (Vitale) Panissidi.
He attended schools in New Jersey and graduated from Tenafly High School in 1967, then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. On March 22, 1975 he married Janet Rispoli and was a devoted husband. He was employed as a real estate agent in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He was also employed as a sports writer for a newspaper in the New York Metro area. He moved to Wiscasset in 1994.
He loved sports and was a sports memorabilia collector.
Robert was predeceased by a brother, Carl Panissidi, in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Janet A. Panissidi of Wiscasset; brother, Ronald Panissidi of Oradell, N.J.; special nephew, William Panissidi of Oradell, N.J.; and special cousins, Yvonne Vitale-Brown and Carl Vitale.
There will be no services.
