Robert R. Potter, 85, of Boothbay, passed away on Sept. 29 at the Hill House (Hospice Care) Facility in Bath.
He attended Brown University and received his B.A. degree in 1952.
He was indoctrinated into Officer Candidate School in Newport R.I.
Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant during the Korean War.
He worked for 25 years for the Federal Government until his retirement in 1980. He moved to the Boothbay area five years ago to be closer to his family.
He is survived by sisters, Susan Wilson and husband Denny of Boothbay, and Gloria Hidalgo of San Demas, Cal.
