Robert W. Moir III, 77, of Warren, died at PBMC on June 30 with his family at his side.
Robert was born on April 30, 1930 in Holden, Mass., the son of Robert Moir II and Mary Ellen Moore Moir.
He attended school in Auburndale, Mass. and Newton, Mass.
Robert was a surveyor for Feldman Engineering of Boston, Mass. Some of the projects worked on included the Boston Central Artery, Route 128 and the Cyclotron at Harvard and MIT.
Upon moving to Maine with his family in 1960, he became a cabinetmaker, building and installing many kitchens in the Mid-Coast area.
After retirement, Robert and his wife Phyllis traveled extensively throughout the North American continent.
He is predeceased by his father, mother, sister, Anna Louise, and son, Phillip of Georgia, who died in 1959, 1979, 1999 and 2004, respectively.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Tolman; son, Clarence (Spady) Moir of Union; daughter, Elaine Moir of Warren; grandsons, Christopher and Jeremy Moir of Georgia, and Grant Moir-Brandow of Maine and New York, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Caitlin Moir of Georgia; and nephew, Robert Banks of New Bedford, Mass. and wife Louise.

A private memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience.
