Robyn Elizabeth (Roggio-Davis) Hesseltine, of Waldoboro, lost her long and difficult battle with ovarian cancer Feb. 22. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and dear friend.
Robyn was born in Newburgh, N.Y. on Sept. 16, 1964 to Marco Antonio and Barbara (Langdon) Roggio.
Robyn attended Booth Memorial High School in St. John’s, NL, Canada and lived in Maine since 1982. She obtained her GED and attended several colleges before becoming an MSAD 40 school bus driver for 10 years. She loved her students and kept in touch with them over the years. She worked at Dave’s Family Restaurant as assistant gift shop manager and later at Brooks Trap Mill as a store associate.
Robyn loved breeding, training and showing Dobermans and Yorkshire Terriers and was also a great horsewoman. She was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist and scrap booker. She was a devoted member at Wilderness Church in Waldoboro, and served as a junior church worker and camp counselor.
Robyn is survived by her beautiful children, Gage, Zeckariah, and Reese; sisters, Cheryl Spataro, Barbara Osmond, Sharon Boucher, Amanda Roggio, Cathryn Pratt, and Jillian Richards, parents, Marco and Barbara Roggio, and Murray and Linda Davis; loving soul-mate, Dana Spofford; and many loving nieces, nephews, and very special, dear friends.
Celebration of Robyn’s life 2 p.m., Wed., Feb. 27 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. Rev. Warren Conary will officiate. A reception will follow at the funeral home’s 104 Limerock reception center. Spring interment will be in Brookland Cemetery, Waldoboro.
In lieu of flowers, details of an educational trust fund for Robyn’s children will be published on Robyn’s Book of Memories.
