Ronald E. Morang, 63, of Pittston, passed away on Sept. 20 at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Gardiner on Feb. 13, 1944, a son of Doris Chapman Morang. He attended Gardiner schools and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Ron was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the Augusta Lodge of Elks # 964.
Ronald was predeceased by his mother; and two brothers, Robert and Keith.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Suzette Martin Morang of Pittston; son, Robert of Scarborough; daughter, Tammy of Manchester; brothers, Richard of Augusta, and David and Gerald of Gardiner; sister, Shirley of Waterville; grandchildren, Sarah, Meagan, and Erik; two very special nieces, Michelle Welch and Cheryl Little and their families; and several other special nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Wed., Sept. 26 at the Maple Grove Extension Cemetery, Rt. 226, Randolph.
