Sally P. Wright, 78, of Bath, died Jan. 28 at a Brunswick hospital.
She was born in Bath on Sept. 9, 1930, a daughter of Hans A. and Catherine M. (Cressey) Johansen. She attended Bath schools and on Nov. 17, 1947 she married Herman N. Wright Jr.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She decorated cakes, enjoyed painting, playing piano and guitar, crocheting afghans for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking and the Christmas holidays.
She was predeceased by her husband, Herman N. Wright Jr. on April 25, 2005; and one great-granddaughter, Arianna Swain.
She is survived by three sons, Herman N. Wright III and wife Valarie, Brian K. Wright and wife Heidi, and Bruce R. Wright and wife Cindy, all of Edgecomb; four daughters, Ida May Decker of Edgecomb, Kathryn H. Swain and husband Allan of Edgecomb, Debbie L. Knowlton and husband Rick of Bath, and Diane E. Little of Edgecomb; three sisters, her twin sister, Celia Moore of Phippsburg, Evelyn Hill of Bath, and Peggy Moore of Phippsburg; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 2-4 p.m., Sun., Feb. 1 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Funeral service 2:30 p.m., Mon., Feb. 2 at the funeral home. Gathering of family and friends will follow at the American Legion Hall, Congress Ave., Bath. Spring burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
