Samuel W. Sproul, 70, of Wiscasset, passed away on Nov. 11 at a local Brunswick hospital.
He was born in Wiscasset on Oct. 22, 1937, the son of Carrol and Elisabeth (Sewall) Sproul. He lived in Wiscasset his entire life.
Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse pulling, stock car racing, sports, the outdoors and the Red Sox.
He worked in the logging industry his entire life.
Sam was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Sproul; brother, George Sproul; and stepsister, Dorothy Townsend.
He is survived by his sons, Perry, Gerald, Ken, and Kevin Sproul; daughters, Theresa Mullins, Cheryl Thayer, Donna Applebee, and Pam Lear; brother, Jimmy Sproul; sister, Katherine Connors; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Per Sam s request there will no services held at this time.
Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
