Sandra A. Nieman, 55, of Boothbay, passed away June 15 at her home with her loving husband by her side.
Sandy was born in Damariscotta, the daughter of George and Eldora Bredeau. Sandy went to school in Waldoboro and in 1981 she graduated from Boothbay Region High School. Sandy worked many years at Bigelow Laboratory and later in healthcare as a homecare aid, and phlebotomist/lab assistant.
Sandy loved to go camping, kayaking, and taking long hikes with her husband and their beloved dogs, Wilson and Bailey. She also took pride in making wreaths for friends.
She is predeceased by mother, Eldora Bredeau; father, George Bredeau; brother, John Bredeau; and both sets of grandparents.
Sandy is survived by husband, Edgar W. Nieman Jr. of Boothbay; sisters, Lynn Elwell of Spruce Head, and Carol Dunning and husband Sam of Woolwich; stepson, Jeremy Nieman of California; brother-in-law, Barry Nieman of Albany, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Carl Niemann and wife Diane, also of New York; sister-in-law, Sheryl Frydrych and family of Boothbay; niece, Amber Elwell; nephews, Caleb Elwell, Bryan Frydrych, Alex Niemann, and Michael Niemann; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 p.m., Sun., June 24 at Hall Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay, Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Mon., June 25 at the Boothbay Harbor Congregational Church, 125 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay.
