Sandra Estella (Benner) Winchenbach, 56, of Bucksport, passed away on Dec. 8 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 5, 1953 to Richard and Elsie (Loud) Benner and grew up in Friendship and South Waldoboro. She graduated from Medomak Valley High School and married her high school sweetheart, Reginald Winchenbach. After several years of traveling with Reggie in the Air Force, they settled in Levant, where they raised their two children. They recently moved to Bucksport where they built their dream home.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Reginald; daughter, Tanya Marie (Seidel); son, Jason Duane; son-in-law, Scott and two granddaughters, Megan and Allison; mother, Elsie (Loud) Benner; maternal grandmother, Estella (Loud) Collamore; sisters, Elaine Hyler, Molly Cooper, Alice Sullivan and Sarah Moran; brother, Herbert Benner; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and in-laws, Addison and Gerry Winchenbach, Evelyn Shover, Valorie Winchenbach, and Rick Winchenbach.
Dinner to celebrate her life held Dec. 12 at the First Congregational Church in Searsport. Private burial at the Sweetland Cemetery in South Waldoboro.
