Sandra L. Dufour, 66, of Bristol Mills, passed away peacefully, early on the afternoon of Aug. 6 at Miles Memorial Hospital. The daughter of W. Henry & Christine (Tarr) Jones, she attended school and grew up in South Bristol.
During her early years, Sandra worked at Sylvania in Waldoboro and then as a P.C.A. at Sunny Acres Boarding Home in Bristol Mills from 1974 until the time of their closing. She later served in the kitchen at the Lincoln Home, where she remained until her illness and in her spare time, for many years, cleaned seasonal cottages.
Sandra loved being with family, most especially at Christmas time. She also loved knitting and bird watching.
She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Frances Lessner.
Sandra is survived by her husband Robert E. Dufour of Bristol Mills, two daughters, Dee and husband Kevin White of Waldoboro and April and husband Chris Fiore of Detroit; son Kevin Dufour of New Harbor; grandchildren Bridgett Dufour and companion Shawn Teele of Newcastle, Christina Anderson of Lewiston, Christopher Fiore of Detroit, and Allen White; great-grandchildren Devlin Teele, Taylor, Katie and Dominick, Skye Russell; several nieces and nephews; and dog Ben.
