Sara “Sally” Nichols, 80, longtime resident of Wiscasset, passed away July 5 at Mid Coast Hospital.
Sally was a native to coastal Maine, growing up in Waldoboro and attending local schools there.
Sally, her husband Willis, and children moved frequently as a military family. She developed lasting friendships during each relocation; however her heart was always in Maine as the family returned every summer to visit and then eventually returned permanently.
Sally is survived by sons, Terry and wife Carla, Todd and wife Elaine, and Randy and wife Karen; son-in-law, Rob Winfield; grandchildren, Mike Moody, Kirby Nichols, Tyler Nichols, Amy Corontzes, Troy Nichols, Brandon Nichols, and Megan Nichols; and great-grandchildren, Kaydin Nichols, Brady Nichols, Madison Moody, Alexis Corontzes, Parker Moody, Sara Adelyn Corontzes, Jaxson Nichols, and Roberty ‘Beck’ Corontzes.
Sally is now reunited with her husband, Willis; parents, Herbert and Faye Schwartz; daughter, Rebecca Winfield; and granddaughter, Jessica Nichols.
