Sarah Hall Yesmentes Plummer was born on June 18, 1966 to Peter J. and Eleanor H. Yesmentes in Winfield, Ill. She was the youngest in the family, having an older brother, Peter Lowe Yesmentes and an older sister, Katherine Anne Yesmentes Daley.
Sarah grew up on a small farm in Stow, Mass., where she developed a love of horses, sheep, cows, chickens, and dogs. Sarah bought her first horse at the age of 10 with money she earned by working in an apple orchard bottling cider. From then on, horses became her life and she was hardly ever without one.
Sarah moved to Boothbay in 1992 when her parents retired to the area. She worked at Miss Daisy Farm, where she was able to board her horse. Soon she fell in love with Todd Plummer, a Southport lobsterman and the son of Bob and Suzanne Raudenbush of Southport. They were married for 21 years. Todd and Sarah built a lovely home in Boothbay where Sarah’s horse ‘Sandman’ was the neighborhood pet.
She enjoyed driving the Rocktide Trolley around town during the summer and drove the Edgecomb school bus for 18 years. She and Todd raised two wonderful sons, Troy, 18, and Jay, 14.
Sarah lead a very meaningful, active, and wonderful life until the Lord called her home on Jan. 19 at the age of 47. She will be cremated per her wishes with a private burial at sea, taking place sometime this spring.
She is also survived by her sister, Sarah Raudenbush Birge and husband Shane of Orange Beach, Ala.
