During her career of many years in nursing, Sally was employed at the Rumford Community Hospital, Knox County Hospital and Camden Community Hospital. She was one of the original home health nurses for Kno-Wal-Lin when Medicare was first established, covering all of Lincoln County except the Boothbay area. Later she served as second shift plant nurse at 40 Fathom Seafood in Rockland and on many private duty cases in Knox and Lincoln counties.
After Randy’s retirement from the State Highway Department they enjoyed sailing, cruising and traveling, while engaging in the management of their property in Friendship. Sally was an active member of the Friendship United Methodist Church and the Stone Scott Watson Post Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxiliary and other community organizations.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Albert and Gerald Morton; sister, Irene Henderson; and daughter, Cheryl Anne.
