Scott A. Penney, 45, of Augusta, died unexpectedly Jan. 3 at his home. He was born in Augusta on Sept. 14, 1965, a son of Albert K. and Linda J. (Dutil) Penney.
Mr. Penney was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1984, and attended the University of Maine in Auburn.
He had been employed by Pat Jackson for several years and previously worked at Carleton Woolen Mills in Winthrop.
Mr. Penney is survived by his son, Daniel S. McKechnie of Waldoboro; parents, Albert K. and Linda J. (Dutil) Penney of Augusta; brother, Kenneth A. Penney of Sidney; two nephews, Kenney and Todd Penney; as well as several aunts and uncles.
There will be no public visiting hours. Gathering of family and friends, 2 p.m., Sat., Jan. 8 at Scott’s parents’ home at 139 Bog Rd., Augusta.
