Sharon M. Joslyn, 51, of Waldoboro, passed away suddenly June 18 at her residence with her family at her side.
Sharon was born March 21, 1961 on Vinalhaven, the daughter of Lawrence and Mina Carter Hildings, attended Vinalhaven schools, and together with her sisters Gloria Winslow, Glennis Maines and Judy Hildings received her GED in 1993.
Though she briefly worked at the Big Apple in Waldoboro, she was primarily a homemaker, caring for her family, which was very important to her.
Sharon enjoyed horse racing, playing the lottery, and spending time with her family. She was beginning to plan for a family camping trip to Greenville this summer.
She is predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Gloria, Glennis and Judy.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Waldo Joslyn Jr. of Waldoboro; daughter, Victoria Jackson and husband Bruce; sons, Thomas Joslyn, Burton Joslyn and Waldo Joslyn III; grandchildren, Mina Hardman and Alexis Hildings, all of Waldoboro; brothers, Lowell Hildings and wife Jean of Waldoboro, Richard Hildings of Vinalhaven, and Foy Hildings of Vinalhaven; sister, Betty Wadsworth of Vinalhaven; and a large extended family whom she loved.
A graveside service is being planned for later this month at the Brownshead Cemetery, Vinalhaven, and will be announced by the Hall Funeral Home.
