Sharron Lorrain Carlson, 50, of Waldoboro, passed away June 16 at Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Bangor on March 31, 1961, a daughter of Harold E. Camber of Thomaston and Ramona H. Dorgan of Waldoboro. She was one of five children.
Sharron grew up in the Midcoast area with her family, and was a graduate of Medomak Valley High School a member of the class of 1980. Sharron worked as a C.N.A at Quarry Hill in Camden. She loved being a C.N.A more than anything, helping others with their needs was what she lived for.
Sharron was well known and admired for the loving caring person she truly was. Some of her special memories were going to sing karaoke at Nancy’s with Kathy and Krystal, watching American Idol with her daughter, going camping, and just spending time with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Darryl E. Camber.
In addition to her parents, Sharron is survived by her daughter Krystal N. (Carlson) Johnson and husband Bub of Waldoboro; grandson, Colyn Johnson; companion, Daniel Corey of Waldoboro; step-children, Malinda Foley of Cushing, Jacob Carlson of Waldoboro and Benjamin Carlson of Saint George; sister, Shirlee Hall of Belfast; brothers, Dean Camber of Union and Dennis Camber of Thomaston; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service 1 p.m., Sun., June 26 at East Union Cemetery, Miller Rd., Union.
