Starla M. (Anderson) Hendron, 55, of Waldoboro, died unexpectedly on March 8 at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta. She was the loving wife of George E. Hendron with whom she shared 15 years of marriage.
She was born on Feb. 9, 1962 in Rockland, the daughter of Walter A. Anderson and Nancy E. (Eugley) Smith. She was a graduate of Georges Valley High School in Thomaston and also received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate from Region 8 Vocational School and had worked for the Homestead in Owls Head.
Starla was employed most recently at Bowden Egg Farm as a delivery driver for the past five years and had worked as a custodian for the Miller School and for North End Composites. She also spent time in the Shipping and Receiving Department at Van Baalen’s in Rockland and enjoyed her job cooking at the former Brown Bag Restaurant.
She was a devoted owner of three dogs, Tyson, Roxie and Axel and two cats, Clyde and Chester. Her pets loved her as much as she loved them. Starla was a good cook and enjoyed sharing what she made with her friends and family. Her generous spirit carried through to many areas of her life. Whether it was helping a friend in need or people she barely knew or a stray animal, it was a constant theme in her life. Spending time with her four-year-old granddaughter, Mylee was above all one of her favorite and most cherished things to do.
She is survived by her husband George E. Hendron of Waldoboro; mother, Nancy E. Smith; father, Walter A. Anderson, both of Thomaston; son, Peter Z.
