Stephen Andrew Sinclair, 60, of Belgrade, passed away Dec. 2 at the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta after a long illness, surrounded and supported for many long months by his loving family and friends. He was born on March 22, 1949 in Alexandria, Va., the son of Rosa and the late Louis H. Sinclair.
Stephen graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Fairfax County, Va., and Kennebec Valley Vocational Technical Institute in Fairfield. He worked many years for the Maine Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages. He loved vintage cars and owned many over the years (and some at the same time). He was an avid and talented photographer, loved wood working and making things work, and adored Halloween. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and dearly loved playing with his dog, Sophie.
Stephen is survived by his mother, Rosa; brothers, Louis and son Eoin, Robert, and Douglas and wife Sandra and their daughter, Whitney; sisters, Rosa and husband Brian, and Elizabeth; sons, Stephen and wife Shannon, and David; daughters, Alicia and Karen; grandchildren, Alexander, Aidan, Ilana and Isaak; and his many extended family and friends, most especially Karin, Irene, Norma, Peggy, Heidi, Joyce, god daughter Michelle, and Billy.
Celebration of life memorial service 11 a.m., Sat., Dec. 5 at the St. Giles Episcopal Church, Rt. 126 in Jefferson. Officiating will be the Rev. John Van Siclen. Music will be provided by Eoin Sinclair, his nephew.
