Steven Arnold Reed, 64, passed away unexpectedly. He was born on Jan. 3, 1954 in Rockland to Gerald Reed Sr. and Grace (Monroe) Reed.
Steven graduated from Medomak Valley High School and then joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After his tour of duty he owned and ran a poultry farm. He later worked for Gerald Reed Forest Products and also harvested clams.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Wendell and Gary.
Steven is survived by brothers, Larry Reed of El Paso, Tex., and Gerald Reed Jr. of Waldoboro; aunts, Ruth Benner of Rockland, and Evelyn Reed of Waldoboro; uncle, Ralph Simmons Jr. of Waldoboro; nephews, Clinton Gerald Reed of Waldoboro, and Larry Reed Jr. of Rockland; and niece, Paula Reed Ryder of Shrewsbury, Mass.
A graveside service for Steven will be held at 12 p.m., Sat., June 16 at Shuman Cemetery with Pastor Tom Rawley officiating.
