Teresa Bailey Markiewicz, 60, of Nobleboro, left the earth for her eternal life with our Heavenly Father on Aug. 8. Born on Jan. 15, 1958 in Bath, she was the daughter of John and Arlene Bailey.
Teresa graduated Morse High School, and later married Thomas Markiewicz on Sept. 16, 2000. Teresa was a loving mother and wife, and spent most of her career working with children as a pre-k teacher, and later as director at two daycares in the Tupelo, Miss. area.
Teresa was predeceased by her mother and father, John and Arlene Bailey; and grandchildren, Piper and Keegan.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Tom Markiewicz, and his daughter Donna Markiewicz Brunson; brother, Wendell Bailey, wife Susan, and children Wendell Jr., John, and Rose; brother, Glenn Bailey, wife Carmen, and daughter Amber. Teresa also has five sons, Joshua Birckbichler, wife Amanda Brewer, son Luke, daughter Rayanne; Matt Birckbichler, wife Jenn, son Kaleb, daughters Hailey and Emma; Andrew Birckbichler, daughters Lacy and Braelyn; Michael Pinkham; and Will Hayward, wife Kylie, daughter Aleigh, son Alex.
Teresa and her family have their roots going back for several generations in the area, the list of deceased and still with us is too numerous to list, but she was loved and will be missed by all.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., Sat., Oct. 13 at the Faith Baptist Church, 144 Mills Rd. (Rt. 215), Newcastle, with the Rev. David O’Donnell officiating. She will be laid to rest privately in the Highland Cemetery in Nobleboro.
