Terry Lee Connolly, 54, of Dresden, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, daughters and loving family on July 13 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn after fighting a very courageous battle with a rare type of cancer.
He was born in Mars Hill July 26, 1957 to Roger M. Connolly and Gloria J. (Collins) Connolly. He grew up in Perham and graduated from Washburn High School class of 1957.
Terry served his country in the U.S. Air Force for two years and was honorably discharged. After returning he worked with his brother and father in the family business for a short time. He then moved to Brunswick and worked at Bath Iron Works for many years. Terry had made his home in Dresden for the past 30 years.
Terry worked hard, played hard, loved to travel and enjoyed good times with family and friends.
He was predeceased by stepbrother, Chris Snyder.
Terry is survived by his wife, Trish (Klapprodt) Connolly of Dresden; daughters, Sarah Connolly and Rich, Nicole Connolly and Tim; step-children, Travis and Brittany West; mother, Gloria Connolly; father, Roger M. Connolly and wife Joan; brother, Roger Wayne Connolly and wife Linda; sister, Patty and husband Dale; stepbrother, Greg Snyder and wife Stina; stepsisters, Jean Snyder and friend Mark, Jill Snyder and partner Corey; stepsister-in-law, Ellie Jordan and husband Dean; and the mother of his daughters, Cheryl (Doody) Wallace; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Kevin Jones and partner June, Kevin and Lisa McGlinn; and many other close friends.
As to Terry’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Terry’s ashes will be spread at a place of his choice by family and friends. A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at R. Wayne Connolly’s home, Nutting Road in Perham, 6 p.m., Sat., July 28.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn or The American Cancer Society.
