Thelma I. Daly, 93, of Kennebunk, and formerly of Jefferson, died May 23 at St. Andre’s Health Care Facility. She was born in Auburn on April 8, 1916, a daughter of Charles and Frances Ordway Small and was educated in Auburn schools.
On Aug. 2, 1935 she married Thomas J. Daly, Jr. in Auburn. He died Aug. 18, 1988.
Mrs. Daly along with her husband owned and operated Daly Brothers Bedding Co. in Biddeford for 35 years retiring in 1972. In retirement she lived in Jefferson, moving back to Biddeford in 2007.
She was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church in Jefferson.
She was predeceased by one brother, Orville Small and five sisters, Arlene Martin, Beverly Shaunessey, Norma Curran, Juanita Small and Shirley Small.
Surviving are her son, Thomas J. Daly III and wife Helen of Lyman; daughter, Terri Regan and husband Robert of Kennebunk; three brothers, Charles, Robert and Richard Small, all of Arizona; five grandchildren, Louise Daly, Lisa Alexandre, Laurie Sallaz, Thomas R. Daly and Susan Regan Orr; six great-grandchildren, Kaileigh, Kiana, Kerriann and Lukas Alexandre, Abigail Orr and Bendon Sallaz; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services. Internment will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale at a later date.
