Thelma L. Bramhall, 89, of Friendship, passed away peacefully at Cove’s Edge nursing home in Damariscotta the morning of June 19.
She was born on Bremen Long Island, the daughter of Ira and Eda-May Carter Simmons. She attended school on Bremen Long Island and in Friendship.
On Oct. 5, 1935 she married the love of her life Philip Bramhall and the two made their home in Friendship. She was a life long member of the Friendship Advent Christian church and one of the originally founders of the Friendship Women’s Fire Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Some of her favorite times were spent at her cottage over looking Friendship Harbor. Whether it was at the annual 4th of July picnic or just sitting on her porch watching the activities on the water and enjoying the sun she loved nothing more than to be at the cottage surrounded by family and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Philip Bramhall.
Survivors include her sons, Paul Bramhall and wife Joyce of Friendship, and Roger Bramhall and wife Verna of Friendship; daughter, Roselin Severson and husband Albert of Waldoboro; sisters, Sylvia Brown of Bath, and Dorothy Simmons of Friendship; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service 3:30 p.m., Tues., June 23 at the Friendship Harbor Cemetery in Friendship with Rev. Mike Poli and Rev. Allan Chamberlin officiating.
