Thomas G. Powell, of Bangor, passed away unexpectedly at home on Jan. 15.
Tommy was born April 19, 1953, the youngest of three, in Damariscotta. He attended Nobleboro schools, and graduated president of his class at Lincoln Academy in 1972.
He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor; something he never lost. Anyone who met Tom would know him as a husband, father, friend, and most importantly a very kind soul. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Tommy was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Pauline Barnes Powell.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Karen C. Powell; son, Kyle Thomas Powell; daughter, Amanda Powell Chamberlin; brother, Richard L. Powell and wife Susan; sister, Terri Powell Bracy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A service will be held at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park, Bristol at a date to be announced later.
