Tracy A. Wilson, 54, of Washington, passed away Oct. 4 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
She was born Feb. 24, 1956 in New York City, N.Y., the daughter of Kim Lopresti. She grew up in Hills Dale, N.J. where she attended the local schools. After leaving school early, she attended Shimer College in Illinois.
She was employed locally for 10 years as a finish carpenter, where she met her future husband, William Wilson, while working on a job at the Farnsworth Museum.
Tracy loved to bird watch, often identifying them by their call. She loved reading, and writing letters to family and friends and each winter she eagerly awaited spring and the return of the birds.
As a young woman, she traveled the country, settling in Port Clyde until her marriage in 1999 to William. They then made their home in Washington.
The thing Tracy loved most of all was to take care of Bill.
She was predeceased by her mother, Kim Smith; and brother, Tim Smith.
Survivors include her husband, William Wilson of Washington; brother, Todd Smith of Franklin Lakes, N.J.; aunt, Lavone Virbila of Fullerton, Cal.; sisters-in-law, Holly Wilson of Rindge, N.H. and Jackie Wilson of Tobyhanna, Penn.; brothers-in-law, Ed Wilson and wife Luise of Meyersville, N.J., Pete Wilson and wife Kim of Big Island, Va. and John Wilson and wife Helen of Gautier, Miss.; father-in-law, Jack Wilson and wife Barbara of New Hampshire; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of Tracy’s life will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced.
