Valentina “Tina” Evelyn Alberta Westort Cyr, 85, of Dresden, died unexpectedly April 25 at the Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
She was born in Portland on April 8, 1925, one of six children of Edward Westort. Tina had been employed at the VA Togus from 1969 to 1975. She then worked at a boarding home and for Claristat in Richmond. She was a communicant of St. Michael Parish at St. Joseph Church in Gardiner.
She married Joel Cyr on June 3, 1967; they had been married for 43 years. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marcella Pelletier and husband Roland, and their four children of Lewiston.
Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., Thurs., April 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gardiner. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Dresden.
Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
