Virginia Collamore, 84, of Waldoboro, passed away Feb. 21 at Woodland Assisted Living in Rockland.
She was born May 25, 1925 in Camden, a daughter of the late Eleanor Whaley Sykes and Newell W. Sykes.
Her husband, Maurice, was a tractor trailer driver with whom she enjoyed traveling; giving her the opportunity to travel all over the country.
For a few years she worked at Curtis Meats as a meat packer.
Virginia was an avid reader and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Collamore Carter of North Carolina; sisters, Ruth Leeman of Round Pond, and Gloria Scott of Waldoboro; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Fri., March 5 at the Chamberlain Cemetery in Round Pond.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
