Warene M. Sidelinger, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., passed away at her home on May 15 after battling cancer.
She was born Oct. 23, 1959, the daughter of Thomas “Pete” and Lois Gilley, of West Gardiner.
She moved to Florida four years ago but grew up in Maine and New Hampshire.
She loved collecting knickknacks, especially Betty Boop. She had what she called the Betty Boop Room.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Sidelinger of Florida; daughter, Lisa Vertone of Florida; sisters, Lori Gilley of New Hampshire, and Tanya Allen of Maine; longtime companion, a Chihuahua named Angel; many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews, Shawn, Jason, Nathan and Daylan; great-nephew, Garret; and a best friend since childhood, Norma Strainer.
