Wayne F. Albert, 64, of Alton, N.H, formerly of Wiscasset, lost his battle with cancer on Jan. 7 at Hospice House in Concord, N.H.
He was born Aug. 2, 1942 in Patten, a son of Walter & Jessie (Johnston) Albert.
He graduated from Wiscasset High School, class of 1961, where he played basketball and ran track. He was also a member of the Wiscasset Fire Department in the 1960’s.
Mr. Albert was a union electrician for many years, and for the past 25 years, he was owner and operator of W. Albert Electrical Service.
He enjoyed scuba diving, local stock car racing, football, hunting, NASCAR, and hanging out on his boat on Lake Winnipesaukee. He most enjoyed working with his tractor.
He was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Virginia Albert Koehl.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary (Theriault) Albert; daughters, Dona Albert of Manchester, N.H., Tamara Carmody of Hooksett, N.H., and Melanie Albert of Plaistow, N.H.; sons, Dana Albert of Arizona, and Eric Meyers of New Hampshire; several grandchildren; sister, Susan Varney and husband Ross of Wiscasset; brothers, Robert Albert and wife Jane of Woolwich, Delmont Albert and wife Patricia of Manchester, N.H., and Gary Albert and wife Nancy of Wellington, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services.
