Wayne Michael Burnham, 44, of Waldoboro, died unexpectedly Sept. 13. He was born Nov. 29, 1964, the son of David E. Burnham and Marlene H. (Staples) Burnham.
Wayne grew up in Waldoboro, attending local schools, and was a 1984 graduate of Medomak Valley High School. After high school, Wayne worked in the woods, went scalloping, and worked with his dad in the sandblasting business. He had a Merchant Marine license and worked on a cement barge.
Wayne loved his music. He was a D.J. for private parties, and had his own recording studio in his basement.
Wayne was an easy to get along with guy and had many friends. He always put his children first. Due to a car accident and a fall from a boat, Wayne had been disabled for 15 years, and tried hard to keep a good outlook on life for Gail and their children.
Wayne was predeceased by his sister, Doreen Marie Burnham; grandparents; aunt, Evelyn Bailey; and cousin, Tammy Luce.
He is survived by his companion of 20 years, the mother of his children, Gail Augusto of Waldoboro; daughters, Chelsea and Brooke Burnham, both of Waldoboro; son, Dustin Burnham of Waldoboro; parents, David and Marlene (Staples) Burnham of Waldoboro; sister, Wendy Flaherty and husband Ivan of Waldoboro; uncles, Robert and wife Diane Burnham, Willard Bailey, William Staples and wife Arlene, Norman and wife Dawn Benner, Gary and wife Rhonda Benner, and Ronald Benner and companion Mike; aunts, Marlene and husband Erville Luce, Veronica and husband Larry Anderson, and Debbie Miller; nieces and nephews, Danica Daniello, Victoria Taber, and Ryan Flaherty; best friend, Wayne Miller of Waldoboro; and his beloved dogs, Princess, Bear and Holly.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., Sept. 18 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro, with a celebration of life service 11 a.m. Sat., Sept. 19.
