Wellesley Mortimer Humason, 92, of Coopers Mills, died Sept. 8 at Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills.
He was born in Alna on Jan. 20, 1923, a son of Stanley Bradford and Bertha Lowell (Kennerson) Humason.
He graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle and entered the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in Europe. After the war, he married Nadine S. Dow, and they resided in Alna. He was employed at Wirthmore Feeds in Wiscasset and later was employed at the Bath Iron Works, retiring as a 1st class burner. He enjoyed camping for many years with his wife and son.
He was predeceased by his wife, Nadine S. Humason; and son, Dale Humason.
He is survived by daughter, Cindy Morabito and husband James of Fairport, N.Y.; grandchildren, Scott and wife Theresa, Patrick, and Elizabeth; and many nieces.
Burial will be at the Alna Cemetery in Alna at a later date.
