Wendell P. Webber Jr., 81, of Pittsfield, Mass., died Dec. 20 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Hardwick, Vt. on Feb. 11, 1931, the son of Wendell P. Webber Sr. and Mae Jackson Webber, he was educated in Vermont schools, was a 1949 graduate of Spaulding High School in Barre, Vt., and attended Northeastern University.
A WWII and Korean War veteran, he served with the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1952.
Mr. Webber worked as a dental sales representative for Smith Holden out of Springfield, Mass. from where he retired in 1996 with 43 years service.
He was a member of the Lee Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and reading.
Most of all, Mr. Webber enjoyed being with family in Pittsfield and at his lakeside cottage in Jefferson, and researching his family genealogy.
Mr. Webber leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth Harrington, whom he married May 2, 1954; daughter, Lynn Webber Latini of Pittsfield, Mass.; sons, David Webber and wife Theresa of Ellington, Conn., and Mark Webber and wife Sandra of Sheffield, Mass.; grandchildren, Benjamin Latini, Audrey Webber, Ryan Webber, Brandon Webber, and Alexandra Cressey; sister, Mary Kershaw of Raleigh, N.C.; and nephew, Scott Kershaw.
Calling hours 4-7 p.m., Sun., Dec. 23 at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, Mass. Funeral services and burial will be private.
