Wendy Marie Glidden, 44, of Jefferson, passed away on Oct. 2 with family, friends and her boyfriend Patrick Clark at her side, after a short battle with lung cancer. During this difficult battle Saylssa Libby was by her side for the last month of her life taking care of her and providing her with the comfort she so needed. Wendy was born on July 13, 1969.
Anyone who knew Wendy knew that she loved to sing, paint and drink her coffee. She had a laugh that was contagious which would cause others to laugh. Most of all she loved the time she had with her grandchildren. Wendy was taken from all of us way too soon.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee Glidden; son, Ryan Glidden and fiancée Salyssa Libby; grandchildren, Kaeden, Noah, and Sadie; mother, Juanita McKenney; step-father, Bill McKenney; father, Keith Merry; sister, Cheryl Patrick and husband Jim of Gardiner; brother, Robert Merry and wife Tricia of Georgia; sister-in-law, Jeanette Savage; half-sisters, Tracy Bickford and Lysbeth Teeters; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
At Wendy’s request there will be a small service at the gravesite with family and friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
