Willard “Orm” Ormond Dodge, 80, of Newcastle, passed away on the morning of Oct. 22 at the Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills. Born in Newcastle on March 9, 1933, he was the son of Charles and Martha (Laine) Dodge.
He was a graduate of Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served for four years, and upon his honorable discharge, went to work for Hyde Windlass in Bath until he had some back problems.
He then did some farming and fishing, and enjoyed drinking his PBRs and smoking his pipe.
He was predeceased by brothers, Charles W. Dodge Jr., and Elliott Dodge; and nephew, David C. Dodge.
He is survived by his sisters, N. Katherine Rice (Chester) of Walpole, Martha Kierstead (Harry) of Damariscotta, and Vera Lincoln of Newcastle; brothers, Richard F. (Madeline) of Newcastle, and Larry M. of Walpole; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no public service.
