William Carlton Winchenbach, Sr., 80, of Warren, passed away on May 21 at Fieldcrest Manor in Waldoboro.
He was born May 27, 1926 in Waldoboro.
Over the years he worked on a dragger for O’Hara’s in Rockland and also was a cattle dealer.
He enjoyed horse racing, golfing, and fishing.
Mr. Winchenbach was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Winchenbach.
Mr. Winchenbach is survived by three sons, William Winchenbach, Jr. and wife Nancy of Edgewater, Fla., Scott Winchenbach and wife Liz of Friendship, and Kent Winchenbach and wife Shari of Friendship; sister, Beulah Cook of Jefferson; grandchildren, Angie Fillmore of Friendship, Kent Winchenbach, Jr. of Toronto, Canada, and Michelle Winchenbach of Rockport; great grandchildren, Wyatt Fillmore, Brooke Fillmore, and Bailey Lash of Friendship; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
Interment will be in the Sweetland Cemetery in Waldoboro.
