William W. Gibson, Jr., 42, of Damariscotta, passed away on Aug. 9 at his home.
Born July 28, 1965 in Red Bank, N.J., he was a son of William W. Gibson, Sr. and Alicia Kozachok Gibson. He grew up in Shrewsbury, N.J. and graduated from Red Bank Regional High School.
He worked for his family landscaping business, Gibson & Sons, in New Jersey. He moved to Maine in 1992 with his parents and worked in various jobs in the area.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He married Fostina Seigars Gibson on August 13, 2005.
He was a fireman and enjoyed all aspects of fire fighting. He loved to watch football on television and play softball. He loved spending time with his nephews. He also enjoyed going to parades and fairs.
He is survived by his wife, Fostina Gibson of Damariscotta; parents, William W. Gibson, Sr. and Alicia Gibson of Barnegat, N.J.; brother, Peter Gibson and wife Lisa of Shrewsbury, N.J.; sister, Lisa Neis and husband Ron of Tinton Falls, N.J.; nephews, Zachary Neis of Tinton Falls, N.J., and Andrew and Michael Gibson, both of Shrewsbury, N.J.; nieces, MacKenzie Neis of Tinton Falls, N.J., Leann Kingsbury of Augusta, and Tammy Seigars of Farmingdale; and brothers-in-law, Stanley Seigars of Damariscotta, Rodney Seigars of Lewiston, Albert Seigars and wife Goldie of Bath, and David Seigars and wife Cindy of Alna.
Graveside service 10 a.m., Tues., Aug. 14 at the Alna Cemetery in Alna with Father Fred Irving officiating.
