Liz and I have been collecting phone numbers from everyone in town as they come into office. With cellphones being used mostly, if you don’t leave your number, we have no way of contacting you. If there is a problem or we need information about something for the office, it is very hard to get the work done. So please, if we forget to ask, remind us and we will be very happy.
Congratulations to Josh, Audrey, and big sister Llireva on their new baby boy. Myrick Sewall Blagdon was born Aug. 1, weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 20 inches tall. Gram Peggy says he has fuzzy dark hair. I saw the picture of him and he is a cutie. Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Peggy Averill; paternal grandparents are Paul and Bonnie Blagdon. Best wishes to you all.
John Seigars Sr. is a great-great-grandfather as of Aug. 15 to a baby girl, Violet Ray Estrada. She weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches tall. Sorry, I have no more information. Congratulations to you all.
This is the big day of the eclipse of 2017. This will make two that I have viewed. I put Max, my dog, in the bathroom and shut the door. I didn’t want him to damage his eyes.
We need another baked bean and ham supper. Come on Alna VFD, get busy — we wish to have a town get-together so we can see friends who have been away for summer vacations. We hope by September, please.
The office is settling down. Liz and I have gotten a routine figured out. She is talking about changing the Thursday hours. She has been keeping track of customers and the time they come in. From 6-8 a.m., there isn’t much going on. So instead of wasting those hours, we put them on the other end. So it would be 2-6 p.m. on Thursday. We hope this is OK with most of the town.
Have a good week. Make some one happy and you will be, too.
