Here and there and everywhere
That pile’s got a clump of hair.
Here is some with lots of grass
Any more details would just be crass.
It seems a cat’s purpose in life
To find the spot
Which causes most strife.
Between appliances
Or on the new rug,
Good thing I looked in that coffee mug!
Whether kitten or elder
Short- or long-haired cat
I’m always barefoot when I step in that.
Off I go to find paper towels
Making noises that are mostly vowels.
Tomorrow may bring a new surprise
I’ll have shoes on, if I’m wise.
