Hello friends,
The forsythia in my yard is turning from green to yellow and I think I saw temps in the mid 70s for next week – huzzah! That must mean both summer and Skidompha Summer Read are in sight! Our amazing and passionate Skidompha staff has worked hard to assemble a great schedule of free programming all for you with many prizes and giveaways, including books!
Summer read officially starts at Skidompha on Saturday, June 1, when we will have a kickoff party with fun and games, including the smoothie bike from the CLC Y! From June 1 forward, we have another summer’s worth of great programming planned for all ages, including intergenerational programming!
Kristi, Frazier, and Hannah have been hard at work collaborating to put together some great experiences embracing art, acting, nature, gaming, books, music, and learning. Some examples: making sea glass jewelry, partaking in a D&D campaign, using natural dyes to color textiles, enjoying a nature walk and kayaking Muscongus Bay, cooking, movies, and book clubs with free books, sketching, and honestly, quite a bit more.
