Director’s note
Greetings, readers,
Boy! What a read! Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2018 Community Read an amazing experience, and a great fundraiser for Skidompha Library.
Our finale event was an evening to remember. Chef and writer Gabrielle Hamilton was on point Aug. 3, regaling the audience with a few of the more dramatic sections of her book “Blood, Bones & Butter,” taking questions from the audience, and being disarmingly honest about her life experiences, cooking philosophy, and family life. The evening reception was the perfect ending to a great event, with good conversation, great music, and delicious treats. Thank you to musician Sean Fleming, Stone Cove Catering, Otter Cove Oysters, Barn Door Baking Co., Weatherbird, Damariscotta River Grill, and Atlantic Tent Co. for making the night sparkle. Events like this are important for us here at the library. Thank you to our entire community for holding us up, and showing us that you care.
Best wishes for a glorious week,
Pam Gormley
Executive Director
