I hope you’ve noticed our recycling boxes for used clothing and shoes. The Epilepsy Foundation now provides us with the boxes. Please bring any clothes or shoes that might be reused by others.
For those of you that use our scales, please be sure you drive on the scale slowly and stop gently. This is a floating scale and can be damaged by sudden stops and starts. Once you are on the scale, wait for the green light to proceed. Thanks for your cooperation.
We get a lot of questions about what to do with Styrofoam products. Except for very large pieces (like for floats or docks), Styrofoam goes in regular trash. Just like plastic bags, we have no market to recycle Styrofoam.
Reminder: the transfer station can only accept checks or cash as payment for materials that have a disposal fee.
